New to the region, our challenge was to partner with a builder on a substantial estate expansion and management plan. At the time, there was the added challenge of us being based thousands of miles (and many time zones) away from the property we own. Respect, responsiveness and transparency have been the hallmarks of our relationship. They’ve consistently prioritized our needs-no challenge was too big, and no task too small. The KKB team has made our estate theirs and treated it as such. We couldn’t have hoped for more.

I have had the pleasure to work with KKB for 8 years. We have completed seven projects with a value of 25 million dollars. They are extremely organized and very good at presenting clear, honest and fair estimates for our clients. This is in regards to a recent major project that is just about completed: new addition and renovation to existing house structure. After interviewing and researching construction companies for over one year, (recommended to us by our architects), and rejecting all of them, we met with K & K Builders and were impressed from the first meeting on. The professionalism with which we were met was beyond impressive, starting with the way two of the most senior company members introduced themselves, to the presentation of how a project is managed and operated by K & K. We have done previous major renovations to our house before, but never experienced such transparency in accounting and billing with any contractor or builder. Our project was assigned its own project manager on site: once the project started, the project manager was on site EVERY SINGLE DAY, all day, overseeing and orchestrating the work efficiently and expertly. The project manager himself who was on the premises from April 2016-December 2016, is one of the most professional, trustworthy and pleasant people we ever worked with. Every single sub contractor we worked with was outstanding in work ethics, work quality and professionalism. It is truly amazing to see that a construction company is able to operate at such an exalted level of attributes. We are beyond pleased and wish to shout out our experience from the roof top. There are lots of bad stories out there in relation to builders and contractors, that is why we feel it is so important to share our experience.
The whole Kistler & Knapp team are amazing! We have done a huge project with them- a complete, 18 month renovation of a turn of the century home (2007-08) and many smaller projects since (2015 most recent). All have been successful with superior craftsmanship, on budget, on time and very good communications throughout the project management process. Our experience with Kistler & Knapp Builders has been outstanding. We interviewed many contractors before remodeling our home in Westborough, MA and hired KKB because of the special care taken and interest given by them to our home from day one of the interview process. Throughout the eight-month total renovation/addition of our home, they worked tirelessly to bring our ideas and plans to life, working through every detail to ensure that the construction was the highest quality possible, and that the design was both functional and beautiful. They are master communicators and as such kept us updated daily as to the status of our project. Their attention to our budget was as meticulous as to our home and they took great care to make us aware of our options each step in the process. We hired Kistler & Knapp to renovate our kitchen and 2 bathrooms this summer and we are thrilled with the results. The KKB team are not only experienced and knowledgeable professionals but they are also terrific communicators who simply “get it.” Their attention to detail was clear from the start, with a line by line budget estimate to give us a sense of what the project would entail. They were right on and very up front with any potential issue that could arise and its associated cost. Our contacts were extremely well organized, coordinating a range moving parts with a variety of vendors (some of which weren’t selected by them) to ensure the project remained on track. Any hiccup in the project (and frankly, none were major), was immediately brought to our attention, with options and costs presented to help us make an informed decision. They finished the bulk of the work nearly a month ahead of schedule, which was certainly a plus.
